Kindergarten
Students in Kindergarten will work through two Project Lead The Ways modules: Structure and Function: Exploring Design and Pushes and Pulls.
If you would like to see your child's work from Project Lead The Way, please email me at [email protected], and I will send you an invitation to connect with Seesaw. Click here for more information about Seesaw and what it is.
Structure and Function: Exploring Design
In the Structure and Function: Exploring Design module, students do activities, create projects and solve problems while reading stories, recording their thoughts, and making connections. They learn that function is what something is used for and structure is what it looks like or how it's made. They get to design and make things just like engineers. These young students work really hard, and they have a lot of fun!
Pushes and Pulls
In the Pushes and Pulls module, students learn about forces. A push is a force that moves something away, and a pull is a force that moves something closer. Pushes and pulls can interact with each other, too. After learning about pushes and pulls through play and exploration, students use the engineering design process to solve a real-world problem.
